Heartwarming Huggable Ornaments

I had a card class at my house this past week and had lots of scraps left over from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. One of the base colors of this paper is Pear Pizzazz, a personal favorite of mine, so I set out to use the lovely DSP and Pear Pizzazz left overs from the card kits.

I used the Christmas Gleaming punches for the ornaments and the holly with berries as well as some of the sentiments from that set. I love how Stampin' Up!'s paper is double sided and that each side usually coordinates well with each other and the card stock selected. The ladies from my class really enjoyed using the flip side of the DSP from the kits I had assembled. They were all thinking "outside the box" and I enjoyed seeing what they came up with.

I decided to use this card idea for one of the projects at my next class simply because it will give each person many choices of how they want to punch and hang their ornaments!

I've always loved the font of this Merry Christmas from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and think it looks really good in red on the white scalloped rectangle against the Pear Pizzazz card stock. I've used the hound out of those scalloped rectangles!

If you're local, consider joining us for our next class featuring the ornaments card above and the Snow Flake Wishes and Peaceful Boughs cards below. I also plan for us to make a very simple gift card holder, time permitting!

Our next class will be a beginner class, so if you've never tried stamping before, this class is the perfect time. If you subscribe to my website or blog, you'll be notified by email when I offer the next class.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
