I can't say enough good things about the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle. And oh, the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder—it can stand alone to make a beautiful card in mere minutes. This week I reached for these products to make many beautiful sympathy cards. I also used it to reach out to one of my best friends that I haven't seen in way too long.
I used the beautiful Sand and Sea Designer Series Paper to imitate a beach scene by tearing the blue ocean colored paper at a diagonal and inserted the sand piece to cover the corner. I also used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to add some texture to the star fish.
I had fun playing with the Frost White Shimmer Paint using our new Blending Brushes on the next cards. You wouldn't believe how smooth it glides on and dries in less than 5 minutes. I simply covered a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Sahara Sand card stock with the shimmer paint, used the "all in one" piece die to cut the shells out, then inserted them in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and ran them through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to give them life. They line up super easy, and I had a beautiful card in minutes. I repeated the process using Soft Sea Foam card stock and layered it against a Smoky Slate background for a beautiful combination too.
I was a little bit intimidated with this set of stamps, dies and embossing folder when it first arrived, but once I used it and saw how easy it was to die cut and line up in the embossing folder, I went to town trying all kinds of combinations of stamping, die cutting and embossing.
If you don't have this bundle yet, I highly recommend it for the ocean lover in your life. Below is a list of some of the products I used to create these cards.
